Strategic foresight is helping create Arab futures

I recently spoke on a panel about strategic foresight at the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development. Here is a link to a short blog post I wrote about it that we published at The Middle East Institute, under the banner of their Strategic Foresight Initiative program, of which I have the honor of being the founding director.

The article is my reflections on the importance of doing strategic foresight work in about the futures, plural, of the MENA region. It includes the video recording, cued to the start of my remarks (about 10 minutes in length) so you can hear everything I shared with the audience. If you’re interested, the whole panel recording is there with the remarks of the other excellent speakers as well - you can just jump back to the beginning of the video and hit play.

My thanks to Mounir Tabet, Deputy Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), for the invitation to contribute to this important discussion. I hope you enjoy reading and listening to what I’ve shared.
